Production 3-"focus of your work"; adding VFX, creating title, and finding a song

Image
Week 9:  In the beginning of week 9 I started to add  v fx  onto the shots I took with my drone. Just for one single shot it took 3 to 5 hours since I was still getting the hang of it. After that I started to put the filter that I created over it. But then my computer turned  off  and my whole work did not save.  So,  I had to restart. The worst part is that this happened like 6 times because my leg is next to the wire so sometimes it hits the wire, and it falls out. Which got really annoying after a while. Also, this week I  actually decided  to change the song for the film to the song Everybody Knows.   Week 9 Part  2 :  Later during the week I really finalized my idea and was for the most part ready to film. Through all the main hours I finally thought I had an Idea that was good.  Also, during this time I was about 25 percent done with editing and about 75 percent done with  vfx . So, I still had a while to...

Production 2- "focus of your work"; using Premier Pro/After Effects, more filming, and VFX

Week 8: In the begin of Week 8 I started to mess around in Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects with some sample drone footage that I shot. I did this to get a better feel for it and try to understand all the features  and  figure  out what each of them did. Throughout this week I took a lot of videos with my drone and try and  fins   the  best  place to film with it. Also, in Premier Pro I figured out how to put the black boxes around the film like how really movies have. Also, this week I tested out some different Adobe apps to see if any of them were easier and could go what I need them to do. But the easiest one was After Effects which is still  really confusing .   Week 8 Part 2: In the later part of week 8 I started to really film with my drone and found the perfect filter to put on it to make it seem like a darker world. Which is what I was trying to do. After that I took some of the footage and put it into Premier Pro and added ...

Production 1-"focus of your work"; planning, location scouting, studying, and filming

Week  7 :  This week I  planned  out how the first two minutes are going to go. This is because before I had this huge idea of how the 2 minutes  were  going to go but the shortly realized I really did not have enough people since I am not in a group. This  lead  to thing that my first 2 minutes should be about creating the world with drone shots (Since I got a drone for Christmas) and a lot of VFX. Then I started to picture the angles of the drone shots that would be best for the movie and look the coolest. After that I spent hours and hours watching YouTube videos on VFX and all the different techniques.  Then I went around looking for the best places to fly the drone that would look the coolest for my film/movie.     Week 7 Part 2:  Later  in the  week I started to practice flying my drone to get the best shots. It took me a while to get anything remotely good. But then I started to get better. Also, I start...

Storyboard

Image
Storyboarding Blog Post:  This week I completed my storyboard. While doing my storyboard the one thing that was challenging and annoying was coloring in each and every storyboard over and over again. But on the other hand I did enjoy drawing the storyboard.  This is because I already sort of new how the first 2 minutes where going to be.  Which ended up helping enhancing my topic and giving me a clear outline of how I was going to fill my movie and it made my drawing skills better.  Also, in the article “Filmmaking across the curriculum: a beginn er’s guide” it says, “students learning outcome can include the development of: * enhanced writing, artistic and design skills”.  This explains  the affect   of creating my storyboard  had on me  because while doing my storyboard  I  feel like it helped my drawing and artistic skill s. Since it made me thing outside the box. Also, in the article, “Storyboard your way to succe ss” it ...
